Hello Nikkistocks

There are no EGGLESTON'S on the Monumental Inscriptions for St Michaels, Lower Mitton, Stourport.

I have searched for a burial of an EGGLESTON in St Michaels but there are non. Also searched for them around the area and have again drawn a blank.

Sorry I couldn't help. Hope you find them.

Inverness / Harland-Peck

Hello list
I am trying to find the 1901 & 1911 census for George Harland-Peck and his wife Agnes who were possibly staying in a house near Urquhart castle. They are originally from Belgrave Square in London. He was a varnish manufacturer. I cannot find them on the 1901 or 1911 census in England or Wales. I know that they did holiday all over the world but I hope these times they were in Scotland.
Any help for either year would be much appreciated.

Best wishes

Hello Bida

I am carrying out this research in association with my cousin for someone else who does not have the resources to do it himself.

The information I have is:

Samuel Copeland b 1806 Irl  = Mary Patinson b 1811 Irl

Son Samuel Paterson Copeland b 1835 Irl = Martha McDonald b 1843 Ayr, Scot d bef 1891 they were married 3 Nov 1862 Ayr.

They had 10 children.  One of those children David Campbell Copeland b 1875 (A foolballer)  = Isabella Robson b 1877.   They had six children.

I also have an Edward Maxwell Copeland b 1826 Irl  =  Mary Osbourne b 1835  d 1877 Glasgow.
They they had six children one being William Copeland b 1858 Scot  = Jessie Douglas b 1860 Lancashire they were married in 1885.
They had six children one being James Copeland b 1886 (A footballer) = Alice May Smith b 1892  married 1909 they had one son James Leslie b 1910

I am trying to link Samuel Peterson Copeland b 1835 Irl as a brother to Edward Maxwell Copeland b 1826 Irl, but to date have had no luck.

Hope some of the above helps you. If you want some more information send me your e-mail address offline.

Best wishes

Hello Anne

I think it is one of those cases where you have to 'put it to bed' for another time as I have had to do with my Gt Gt Grandfather. I can find his marriage but cannot find his baptism or parents.  I have been trying for about 25 years but have always come up against that proverbial brick wall.

The COPELAND birth dates are so close that it seems almost inevitable they are brothers but without proof it is a hopeless cause.

Thanks again.

As my last answer. I cannot put you in touch with the person because he does not have the facilities to correspond with you.

You have sent an e-mail to my cousin who is also helping with the research, namely Shaun Bunce who you found his details on Genes Reunited. Shaun has no more information than I have in fact I probably have a little more.

With regard to my question to you about the brothers. If I can prove that Edward Maxwell b 1826 Ireland is a brother to Samuel Peterson b 1835 Ireland then I have the parents. I also have the parents of Samuel's wife Martha McDonald b abt1843 Ayr, Scotland they were also born in Ireland.

I sent you all the above information in a message offline with my e-mail address did you not get it?

Regards

Mike
