Thanks for the messages. Michael was listed on any birth certificates as a hand loom weaver, but I never found him on any census.

Does Anyone have access to these records? I am looking for a marriage of Michael Ward to Anne Helme on 18th April 1836 to Anne Helme.I am intrigued by Michael as although Anne appears to have numerous children by him Michael does not appear on any census. Anne lists Michael on the Children's birth certificates as Father. Did this marriage take place and is there any information that might lead me to find out more about him?

Lancashire Lookup Requests / RC research Brindle and Salmesbury

Hi Pagr, I just saw your offer to do look ups, hope you can help. The familys I am interested are Crooks and Whittles.
Robert Crook Born about 1795 married Ellen Whittle (born c1798 in Salmesbury )I believe on the 14th Nov 1814  at St Josephs Brindle. Ellen's father was Roger Whittle born c1766 probably in Salmsbury. He was still alive in 1841. Could you see if there are any records of Crooks and Whittles that might match these two. I will be most gratefull.  :)

Tyrone / Re: Civil Birth Records
« on: Sunday 06 December 09 14:16 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks, I found the three children mentioned but could not find the older siblings. that is Mary crudden or Mary Anne Crudden born about 1866 in County Tyrone or Fermanagh, Catherine Crudden born about 1871 in either Tyrone or Fermanagh.
My main interest is in their mother Norella hanna, in some of the census,s she calls herself Mary in 1901 she calls herself Norah Ella. I am trying to find a marriage for Norah and Henry Crudden which would have been in the 1860,s. I think she may be my Grandfather Michael Hannan's sister.Catherine Crudden was Godmother to some of Michael's children. Michael was born about 1854 and was ? married to Mary Anne Maguire. I cannot find a marriage for them.

Tyrone / Civil Birth Records
« on: Wednesday 02 December 09 17:06 GMT (UK)  »
How accurate are the familysearch civil registration records? I have a civil birth record for Owen Crudden born fivemiletown Tyrone on 02/08/1868 obtained from the pay to view site.
I have been looking for this from the links that some of you have kindly given for the Irish civil registrations and cannot find him.
My real interest is in his mother named as Norella Hanna who may be my father's sister. My grandfather was Michael Hannon or Hanna and Norella's children were Godparents to some of Michael's children subsequently in Tyldesley Lancs.
They are all living cheek by jowl in Tyldesley in the 1881 census. I cannot find marriage records for my grandparents who if married would have been married by 1878. My grandmother Mary Anne Maguire says on the 1911 census that she came from Belfast. Any thoughts? :-\

Hi Andrea, Charlotte and Ivan, Thanks ever so much , I will get onto those suggestions. The archives for Leeds are in Wakefield I contacted them and they told me inquest reports were not kept from that period, but I will try Leeds Library to see if they keep  historical newspapers.
Thanks Ivan you have found him for me! :) :)
