How accurate are the familysearch civil registration records? I have a civil birth record for Owen Crudden born fivemiletown Tyrone on 02/08/1868 obtained from the pay to view site.
I have been looking for this from the links that some of you have kindly given for the Irish civil registrations and cannot find him.
My real interest is in his mother named as Norella Hanna who may be my father's sister. My grandfather was Michael Hannon or Hanna and Norella's children were Godparents to some of Michael's children subsequently in Tyldesley Lancs.
They are all living cheek by jowl in Tyldesley in the 1881 census. I cannot find marriage records for my grandparents who if married would have been married by 1878. My grandmother Mary Anne Maguire says on the 1911 census that she came from Belfast. Any thoughts?
