Yorkshire (West Riding) / Walter GOLBY

I am having a real problem tracing information on Walter GOLBY. I have a marriage certificate 14 May 1910 to a Emma Louise HADDOCK showing his father as Richard GOLBY (deceased) with occupation as a miner. On his army service records it says he was born in Sheffield approx 1880/1881. I can only find him on the 1911 census with his wife and child and that too says he was born in Sheffield. I cannot find a birth, 1891 or 1901 census. Please can anyone help?

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Marriage - JARRETT & BROWN
« on: Wednesday 13 August 08 22:32 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the marriage of my great grandparents. My grandfathers birth certificate shows father as Arthur George JARRETT (tram driver) and mother Mary Elizabeth JARRETT (formerly BROWN). My grandfather was born in 27 October 1891 registered West Sculcoates, Kingston Upon Hull. I have found my grandfather and his parents on 1901 Census RG13; Piece: 4477; Folio: 10; Page: 12. and can find my great grandfather on 1891 Census RG12; Piece: 3929; Folio 81; Page 28;I can find a Mary E Brown on the 1891 Census living in Sculcoates and born Leeds, Yorkshire who I assume is my great grandmother. Going by my grandfathers birth certificate I take it that his parents married but I cannot find their marriage.

Any suggestions?

Cheshire / Dorothy Mona Woodward - Hartford Road, Leftwich
« on: Sunday 17 February 08 10:28 GMT (UK)  »
Dorothy Mona Woodward was born 8th February 1917 and had a twin brother Walter Kenneth Woodward. Their mother is showing on the birth certificate as Marie Woodward formerly Lyons. Her birth name was Martha Lyon from Moulton in March 1894. Walter (Uncle Ken) and Dorothy are my fathers half-brother and sister. As my grandmother was in service at the time of the birth she was only allowed to keep one of the babies. That is all she ever told us - she would not even mention her name. When my Uncle Ken was alive he tried to trace his twin sister but to no avail. My grandmother passed away in 1995 but my Dad is still alive.

On Dorothy's  birth certificate it shows address as being 56 Hartford Road, Leftwich, (Northwich)

Does anyone know if adoption records are available for 1917 and if so where?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to trace information on Albert Woodward on the 1901 Census RG13; Piece: 3340; Folio: 48; Page: 22. He is showing as grandson.

I know he married Marie Lyon(s) in 1913 and they had children. They must have divorced some time after 1917.

Can anyone help with any other information on him?

I cannot find who his father was.

The address is 56 Hartford Road, Leftwich.
