Hi aghadowey,
You are quite right - the LDS does not appear to have transcribed Timoleague PR's.  Research in Ireland is new to me as my previous research has been in South England and I am having a little trouble discovering the catholic church at Timoleague - any suggestions?
Regards
Graham

Thank you for your help.  Unfortunately the LDS have not research the Parish Records for Timoleague.  We believe the family were Catholic.  Does this alter things at all?

Good morning,
I am researching my wife's family and would be grateful for any information about Michael Mahoney who we believe hails from Timoleague in County Cork.  We think his father was John and his mother Norry Connolly.
Many thanks

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for the Hastings Register data.  As you say they confirm and augment some of the information to hand.  Very helpful - thanks again.

Hello Gaie,
Many thanks for the 1841 data and the possible marriage reference.  I'll pursue the marriage cert I think as this may give more detail about Ann's parents.

Hello Gaie,
I think I have traced Susanna's mother.    :)
I believe she is Ann Wilson who was born at Bexhill in abt 1813 and married William Carpenter at Hollington on 23 August 1831.  Ann had 3 children, Henry (abt 1837), Mary (abt 1839 and Susanna (abt 1841).  So Susanna's birth name was Carpenter, although she changed it in later years.
William Carpenter died in 1843 and Ann remarried William Ashdown between 1843 and 1851. They had three more children, Alfred (abt 1851), George (abt 1855 and Edward (abt 1857).  Phew!!
I guess it is still possible that William Ashdown is the son of William and Susan Beany but I have no corroboration yet.
Sorry to go on a bit but I thought you might find some of it interesting?
Regards
Graham
