UPDATE: This is my family.  ;D

I've conducted some extensive research, and the marriage and birth certificates I ordered have confirmed it.

Apparently, the "Sheridan" written on my great grandfather's death certificate (as his mother's maiden name) was remembered wrong by the information provider, it was indeed Ann Sheeran (Shearan).

Now, I'd like to find the member whom had posted on here in 2011, "mirambu", as it looks like she is my cousin! I am a descendant of Daniel Morgan who came to Pennsylvania from North Wales.

I thought about that after I posted. I've got so many Anns and Marys in this family, it is hard to keep them straight, in fact, I temporarily forgot I was working on a different generation here. I will take another look at this, but am really dying to get rid of some of my false leads.  :P

I will do my best to update this if I figure it out.

That was very kind of you to post all that information.

No, it appears this is not my family, and most likely it was Sheeran and not Sheridan then.

The library newspaper links will prove very helpful in my searching, thank you.

Is it possible that "Ann Sheeran" is really "Ann Sheridan"?  :-\

That is the maiden name of the Ann who married my Daniel Morgan that I am looking for.

I'm not sure what to make of all this, I've just picked up my MORGAN line research again and thought the following from the OP was MY family!:

1900 census usa: daniel, plains, luzerne, coal miner, immigration 1884
1910 census usa: daniel, plains, luzerne, coal miner, married, boarder emigrated 1880. no ann in it.
1910 census usa: patrick, plains, luzerne, b 1883, married, 2 stepdaus, emigrated 1890. no trace of him after that.
no trace of prince or pierce.

I have the personal name Pierce in my Morgan line so it makes sense, but like the OP, I could not find "Prince" after the 1910 PA census. It could be that he died.

I'm very interested in what anyone has found about this, as I knew my MORGAN's had settled out in that general area of PA (then some moved slowly west toward Berwick, PA, at least one married an O'BRIEN and moved on to OHIO). But I also found my grandfather's marriage certificate and it states that his father was from out in Plains, PA.

I'm just so excited to see this thread on MORGAN. My MORGAN'S have been very elusive thus far, I assume it is because they moved around to where the work was.

Well, it's been a while. I put my research aside for a bit because sometimes it helps me get a better perspective on things if I pick it up fresh.  I think in about a month or so I will start actively pursuing this again. But, I have been watching this thread with great interest and get excited when I receive an email that someone posted.

This Brunswick Vaults lead will be the first thing I attempt to figure out and I'll be sure to post it here if I do!

I found Brunswick Vaults in Slater's 1868 Directory, Worral's 1874 Directory, and Slater's 1895 Directory.

But clearly I have more work to do. I'm very confused. Thanks for all your help, I think it has me finally looking in the right direction.

Thanks Heather!  That's great information.

I'm sitting here tonight going over my Jones line. Happily, they were all tradesmen so the information is more easily found.

I'll be sure to post my results soon.  Hopefully soon.  I'm sure you know how that goes.

I have, actually, a very nice person (Matthew) has been very generous with his time in helping me navigate around that site to find what I need.

I think the 'Brunswick' name is really throwing me off - I cannot find anything remotely related to the name. But 'Vaults' is a name used in several places in Bangor. So was this Brunswick Vaults in Upper Bangor a hotel? A bar with rooms? I don't know. But I think I'm catching on that 'vaults' is a quaint way of saying 'rooms'.

I think what is really throwing me off, is why would someone who owns a house in Bangor have his 'place of abode' listed as Brunswick Vaults?  Maybe I need to look in a different direction - I just stumbled upon this information and don't know what Owen Jones was really doing at the time.  Moving maybe? Hmmm.... he was a plumber, maybe he was using the Dean Street house as a business? The Jones family lived there for many, many years, at least since the 1830's.

I've recently found out that the original Dean Street houses were demolished and the area was resized and rebuilt in the 1930's.  I was crushed to read that.
