Hi Rick, sorry but although there are a couple of Harriet Perkins in my tree there are none with a Richard & Harriet as parents.  Thanks for your interest and good luck with your research.  Owen.

Hi Julie

Thank you for your contact.  I have had a look on Ancestry and found your ancestors.  George Townsend 1801 & Mary Davies 1803 from Calne.  Their son Richard 1830  & Sarah Slade 1829.  Aaron 1862 & Kate Gough 1871.  Henry 1899 & Winifred Pearce 1900 married in 1933 at Melksham.   There are a couple of trees following Winifred and several more with the Townsend's.  Sadly none are connected to my Townsend line.  I notice that your Townsend's from Chippenham lived at the Butts.  My gggggrandmother, Jane Townsend, died at the first workhouse at the Butts in 1840!  Thanks again for your message and good luck with your research.

Brian Townsend.
Brian

I have Townsend's in Chippenham although my lot started off in Bremhill. The Chippenham ones started with Richard and Sarah Townsend (Slade) and then numerous children but my line goes through Aaron Townsend who married Kate Gough and then they had Henry Townsend (and many others) who married my nan Winifred Pearce.

Any bells ringing?

Julie

Hi again, you are right about researching for ones self.  I am a member of GenesReunited & Ancestry.  Checking freeserve & freebmd has always been useful.  However, they only take you so far and as I want to meet with living cousins Rootschat has proved very good.  I have been able to extend my research through Rootschat and for this I appreciate the work people like yourself put in.

Fair comment.  I was hoping that living relatives might see my messages and get in touch.

Hi Jim1, yes my mistake.  I am looking for descendants of Frederick & Fanny Pain.  John Hill & Fanny Beckett were Fanny Pain's parents.

Hi "Lizdb", yes sorry for my vague question & answer.  Georgiana Perkins married Henry Langley in 1887 in Birmingham.  They had six children, three girls & three boys.  It is from these that I would like to find descendants.  Harriet Perkins married William Thornton in 1855 in Birmingham.  They had 11 children and again it is from these that I seek descendants.  Mary Ann Perkins married William Chater in 1859 in Birmingham.  They had one boy & three girls.  Finally Albert Edward Perkins b.1865 in Birmingham is in the 1871 census, but nowhere thereafter!  It is living relatives that I am looking for, if possible.  Thanks again for your interest.

Thanks to "Nanny Jan" & "Jim1".  I am hoping to find descendants of John Hill & Fanny Beckett.  I have their daughter, Fanny c.1866 B/ham married to Frederick Thomas Pain in 1896 in Birmingham.  They had five children, four girls and one boy.  It is from these children that I seek relatives, if possible.  Thanks again for your interest.
