Thanks Norrie

Will need to follow up on the Beath Cemetery hopefully with a visit soon.
Maybe Margaret Turie will be there also
Alas seems unlikely these Camerons are mine but thanks anyway.

Hi Norrie

Wonder if you have a gravestone for John William Cameron died 2nd Jan 1965 & his wife Maud Turnbull died 10th Dec 1954 both in Cowdenbeath.

Also looking for Margaret Turpie died 8th June 1985 Dunfermilne but living in Crossgates married to Andrew Cameron whose date of death I don't have.

Also interested in any other Camerons

Thanks gatherer

England / Re: George Sturrock 1880 - 1950

Don't know if this any help to you or not but I found this entry when I was at the Dundee library looking for something else in a back copy of the following paper.

Courier & Advertiser Tuesday November 3rd 1936
Birth at Calcutta on 1st November 1936 to Mr & Mrs George Munro Sturrock – a daughter(both well)

It did not give a name for the girl but could it be your Ann or perhaps they had another daughter born in Calcutta.

The only reason I took a note of it is there are Sturrocks in my family but have no idea if this relates to mine.

Hi Tina
From my research your Grandfather died 1951 and is buried in Heath Lane Cemetery with your Grandmother in 1986.
Benjamin Hancox my greatgrandfather died in 1940 & Sarah Ann my step greatgrandmother died in 1931 and are both buried in Heath lane too. Clara Jane his first wife and my greatgrandmother who died in 1893 is buried there too but in a separate grave.
Have some more info but would prefer to post privately.

hi
Really  excited to find your post as it would appear we are related.
Just to confirm is your Frederick William Hancox born about 1888 to  Benjamin Hancox & Clara Jane Allday.
Also did he marry  Fanny Lunn in 1920.
If so I would like to communicate further as I have various other bits of information.
You need to post another couple of messages here then we can private message each other.
Hope to hear from you soon.

There are 2 cemeteries in Turriff, one at the old Churchyard and the other is on Balmellie Road.
The churchyard one stones are listed on the www.adnet.co.uk/mi-index/

Gamrie St John Cemetery is set above Gamrie or Gardenstown as it is also know high up on the side of the hill over looking Gamrie Bay.
If use www.streetmap.co.uk and enter Gardenstown you should see it on the map.

Hope this helps.
