Teaurn and Jebber,

It is always a good idea to try this.  Early on in my studies of trees, I was told to try to type or document everything related to the documents u find.  So this is part of the Bastardy Oder.  ....... For maintenance of male child of Sarah PINNER, singlewoman, born at the house of Samuel Harvey of Frinton on 24 February 1824, by Samuel Webb of Kirby-le-Soken, labourer, the reputed father..................

so i looked through what I had on John Pinner, born 1824, the son of Sarah .....

HAVE A SCANNED COPY AND PRINTED INDEX OF THE 1861 CENSUS.  In the 1861 census, they are living in Great Oakley, Essex, England.  John Pinner, 36 year old, ag labourer, from Great Oakley; Eliza A. Pinner, 33 years old, Southminster; Jno (John) Pinner, 13 years old, Great Oakley; William P. Pinner, 8 years old, Great Oakley; Samuel Pinner, 9 months old, from Great Oakley; John Harvey, 56 year old lodger, from Great Oakley; Susanah Harvey, 9 year old girl lodger, from Great Oakley and Jos Goby, 31 year old lodger, from Great Oakley.

there were two members of the Harvey Family living with them, in 1861.  It has to be right.... I hope.  NOw to find out moe about the Harvey's and their addresses.

Jebber,
William Parker Pinner, was John's son, here are my notes of his marriage........

OBTAINED THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE FOR WILLIAM PARKER PINNER AND MARY ANN TURNER.  They were married on February 23, 1874, at the parish church in the parish of Great Oakley, county of Essex.  William Parker Pinner, was 21, a railway porter, living in Chestnut, Hertfordshire, father was John Pinner, a labourer.  Mary Ann Turner was 20, a spinster, from Great Oakley, father Charles Turner, a labourer.  The witnesses were Charles Turner and Emma Benneworth ? (pretty close to that).

This whole thing is confusing, I wonder where she was from.  Obviously she always claimed in all the censuses that she was from great Oakley.  You suggest I get someone t go the the all saints church and review documents by hand.

Hello all,
I've been working on a certain area of my tree, and am stuck. Want to go through Sarah Pinner and find her family, parents etc.

HERE ARE MY NOTES, just in case they can answer any questions...... In 1801 (abt), Sarah Pinner born in Great Oakley, per later census details. From microfilm #1702454, Bishop's Transcripts, 1800-1877, #373, in section 10. John Pinner, illegitimate son to Sarah Pinner, July 8, 1824. This is the baptism date. Oh, this or my tree is posted on rootsweb, under these names, if someone needs to look.

Mother of John Pinner is Sarah Pinner, married to John Goby in about 1825. In the 1841 census, I SUSPECT that Sarah and John Goby were now married, then RE-NAMED John Pinner, as John Goby.

I don't know where to go or what to do from here. I have Sarah Pinner (now Goby) in the 1841-1861 censuses. I have John Pinner, her son, well documented including all of the certificates, through death.

Thanks for your help

Hi all,
I ordered and obtained the wrong death cert. I have the one for Mary Ann Mead, born in 1804, died on 18 March 1887, Elmstead Road, Tendring Essex. Wife of John Mead, a retired beerhouse keeper.

Hey all,
that one post from 1861 looks like them, I do think it will end up being her born in 1852.

If it not too much to ask, does someone have the 1871 census, I saw it mentioned by heywood and yonderpeasant.

Appreciate all the help

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 lookup, Mary Dellow *COMPLETED*

I am having trouble determining which on is my relative.  I am trying to find good information on Mary Dellow.  This is what I have so far.

I received the birth cert of Ethel Jacob, had the name Mary Ann Jacob, formerly Dellow as her mother.

found possible Mary Dellow, born December 1849, in Poplar.  Received birth cert today, Mary Dellow, born 2 November 1849, to Isaac Dellow and Mary Dellow, formerly Gapes.  NOT SURE IF THIS IS RIGHT, BECAUSE.....

Obtained MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, Joseph William Jacobs married December 20, 1874, no age listed / full.  A Bachelor, printer, living in South Hackney, father Joseph William Jacobs, a Shoe ? manufacturer.  Mary Dellow, full age, Spinster, from South Hackney, father George Dellow, a contractor ?.  Married in the presence of John (maybe Leman) and Sophia Catherine Grobe ?.

I am sure the marriage is correct, with Mary Dellow born to William Dellow, South Hackney.  Found references to William Dellow, married to Elizabeth North, this is the one I think is correct.

Looking for advice 1 and 2 finding the real birth of Mary Ann Dellow, from Hackney, or Poplar, or maybe Hertford o Hertfordshire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ma
