Celia  - thank you so very much for the information about Harold Moody.  I don't recognise the other Moodys but I will do a little sleuthing about them and get back to you if they are related (thank you for that offer!).  I really appreciate your help.  Do let me know if you need any looks-up in Hampshire RO or the Portsmouth area.

Best wishes
Ruth

Hi Celia
I'm sure they were C of E.    A sibling was baptised at St John's, Egremont.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Celia
Thank you very much for offering look ups in Rake Lane Cemetery.  Would you see if there are any details for:
Harold Broster MOODY, died 16 Sep 1894 age 1 month, parents Richard and Emily MOODY.
I'd be grateful for this, and any other MOODYs in the records.
I really appreciate your help.

Hi Tricia

Did you ever get Peter Buglass in the 1841 census?  I have it if not.  Have you ever estalished Peter's parents origins?  I know his father was John Buglass, born c.1793 Berwick but I've not be able to tie him into the other Buglass families of Berwick.

I have lots of Buglass information if you are interested. back to about 1645.
