Hi welcome to RC!!

if you go on Scotlands people - you can register for free and put in McDonough - there are loads of records coming up.
to see a particular record you will need credits but can see the basic for free.

Hope you have further details to narrow it down..Happy hunting!

Hi first the marriage you found in woodhouse 1789.... original fiche...yes the entry is crossed however it is repeated below.
It seems on the first one that john and mary both signed (their mark) where the witnesses should sign so probably the parish clerk made a new register.
John Bakewell of this parish  married Mary Eaton otp    19/4 / 1789

Unfortunately no prs exist for Woodhouse Baps 1715 - 1817and marriages  1749  - 1813.

I did find
Loughborough All saints
Bap  23 /8/ 1772 john Bakewell s/o John & Mary Bakewell

No marriages for John in lboro 1749 - 1791 index

2 burials in lboro  maybe yours or not
Hannah Bakewell d/p John 16/9/1796
John Bakewell 1/12/1799

If John did marry Mary first then maybe Elizabeth second marriage ..the only 1851c I saw had John aged 78 and Elizabeth aged 38? Which could explain 2nd marriage.
Couldn't check daughters Baps see above.

Where did you get john= Eliz from?

Diddy... Happy to go back to library if needed
