Not sure if it's connected, but I found this on a page I was looking at - Thomas Beard married Elizabeth Sheldon at Wilmslow Parish church 1st Jan 1824 witnessed by David Sheldon and John Sheldon. Its not far from Addlington so it may be your guy.

Do you know if John Beard had a brother called Thomas Beard and is there any chance he could have been in Cheshire in 1824 - I've got several references to him in my search for Campbells in Wilmslow around that time.

I'm looking for as much detail as possible on the marriage of Edward Campbell and Mary Clough on 11th January 1824 in Wilmslow I believe.
