Thank you for the information, i have tried to look at the camarthan records but cant seem to manage. Is there a trick? or am I just being a bit thick!!!!
I have found a copy of a christening on 17th June 1794 in Talley for William son of Thomas Lloyd farmer?Esgernant, now called Esgairnant, but I am at a loss as to how to find out A, if its him or B, if I can find his date of birth or anything else about him... I am Stuck! Can you give me a bit of a push???
PS My husbands Aunt (nee Lloyd) is taking great interest in this investigation, she is 91 this year and is in Hospital in Oswestry (temporarily), I am relaying your responses, she is loving it!

We are looking for the marriage of William and jane Lloyd  who appear in the census of 1841 as living in the Hamlet of Manmoel Bedwelty
The census shows that they were born in a different county. The first  two children were also born outside the county- Llangadock, Camarthanshire
Can you help?

Yes yes yes he was a draper on the birth certificate you clever thing. How exciting

I am looking forward to this evening and telling Marjory about it
i will send for the marriage certificate

Poor Sarah Price she seems to have been left with three boys in three years, perhaps her sister gave up her dressmaking to help , as the one thing that Marge (m in law) remembers is that he was brought up by Aunt Ginnie where were the other boys?  Harry s lloyd (Known as Stan) and gilbert t Lloyd ( remembered as Gill)

I am writing this all out to show Marj and Mary (her older sister)

Thankyou all loads

thanks again,
I have spoken to my m-in-law
She cant remember when her dad died but he is on her marriage certificate (as Edward.....she just noticed when i asked her to look, no wonder I couldn't find him, how many names can they make up!!) however did you find him? She got married in 1950
Ewart Trevor Lloyd was known as trev....... now she tells me
He was an ironmonger
The aunt he lived with was called Ginny by the family but must have been this Martha Price. she never married and I found her in Marylebone London in1891 census as a dressmaker
cant find Sarah price in 1871 unless she was married to Francis or the daughter of the rev Price in llandridnod

How do you know when you have the right one???
This has got me hooked I am still at the computer........
Thanks for your help
