Down / Re: Burial Records in Banbridge/County Down
« on: Thursday 08 November 12 00:04 GMT (UK)  »
I have in my family tree a Mary Poots from Banbridge married to Andrew Crookshanks c 1870"s This Mary died on the 4th March 1927 and was buried in the First Dromore Presbyterian Churchyard. Her address then was Mossvale Dromore. As far as I know she was originally from Ballyvicknakelly Dromore. I don"t know if there is a connection here but thought I would pass this on, just in case there could be more Poots burials in the churchyard
Good Luck,
Taughey

Down / Re: LOOKUP REQUEST: Birth of Hugh Lockhart Sinnamon
« on: Tuesday 30 June 09 21:29 BST (UK)  »
There was a Reverend R.Lockhart minister of Hilltown Presbyterian Church, Newry & Mourne, Co.Down c. 1840"s.  One of my ancestors was given the middle name of Lockhart after this minister. Just a thought, but could this be the reason Hugh got the same middle name? If so, he could have been baptised in this church. A long shot I know but maybe worth a try.

Dancing Master,
I have been having a look at the site you gave me. Brilliant photographs on it. It has given me a really good idea of the area where my Mum was born. I noticed a lot of the photographs where of a Kitchener St. I myself was born in Kitchener Street but in N.Ireland! Strange but true! Mum must have felt at home having a familiar street address! Again many thanks,
Regards,
Taughey.
