Thank you thats a lot clearer, got my son to scan the photo as I have no idea what I am doing, will have to get him to have another go.

This is a photo of my grandmother back in the 30s some time. The photo was taken in the back garden and unfortunately the picture is getting tatty now, and i would really love it if somebody could restore it back to a half decent level for me.

Does anybody know if Birmingham Archives hold any records I would like to  look  to see if my father attended a school in the yardley area in the 30s and possibly his father before him. Has anybody looked for school record and had success.

  Many times as long as you give them enough information they don't charge they sent me a map of the cemetery to make it easier to find the plot. Think i asked too many times so when they emailed  said they would have to charge next time. When you get an answer post it on here maybe if anybody is going there they may take a photo for you.
