Hello again,

       Sydney Larmet was my Grandad and he married Pauline Haycock on his second marrage. He died in 1974 and was buried in Upwell. Second marrage he had 5 children *** . Does any of this sound familiar to you.

   What is your Dads name as i have some names i cannot place at the moment, they are ***

            Do you have any info on Sidney,s second marrage and any children's names from this second marrage?

          Where in Norfolk do you live as i am about 3 miles from Upwell

 This is the family, my farther has just informed me that they did come from Pampisford and indeed Lizzie,s dad was a coachman for a doctor called Burgess

Pauline Elizabeth Haycock born April 20th 1894 died 1989
Frederick j. Hunt  no info
Lillian May Turton  Died 1943
William Larmet    no info

       That's it sorry but i am fairly new to this, probably be able to find out more for myself soon and follow up the info i have.

Hi Barbara

    I have found out that H.M.S. President lll is a land base at Windsor as my grandad was paid from there thats were he was registered to. The M.V. Dunkwa was the ship he was killed on, and as like many other merchant ships they were commissioned and fitted with guns for the war.

    Sydney was the son of a William Larmet so could well be the man.

         That's fantastic, it is the right man and my mother has believed he was on m.v. dunkwa but as the records show he was on the President III.
