The adopted son, James Bowdrey, was one of my family. Trying to find out what happened as most of the family can't be found in the 1901. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks Rabbit, not sure what you may have been telling me but have been through the 41 census and picked out the likely looking ones. trouble is we can't say for sure without some proof of who John's parents were. Have been to the RO plenty of times without success although there is another John Flower but not the one we want typically! Think I've searched every site going :)

I'm desperately looking for parents/siblings of John Flower born c1805 who married Martha York in Bristol 1828 at St Mary Redcliffe. Any help welcome, thank you.
