« on: Wednesday 11 October 17 19:48 BST (UK)  »
Is anyone able to help me with the 1939 register. I have found the relatives I am looking for and would like to know the address they were living at.  Thanks

Born 1804 in Hensall/Kellington area.  Mother Elizabeth Cotton. No father mentioned on birth certificate.

I have him on all census returns except 1871.  he married x 2 to Elizabeth Farrar and Mary Wildes       I  assume he has not moved from the area.  Can anyone help please.

Family History Beginners Board / Finding people in Service at Cowick Hall Yorkshire
« on: Wednesday 16 July 14 20:27 BST (UK)  »
Is there anywhere I can confirm a relative was a servant at Cowick Hall Yorkshire c1800 to 1804.
Her name was Mary Elizabeth Cotton, known as Elizabeth, born 1791 in Howden Dyke and died in 1870.  She married Robert Lidster in 1804.

I'm hitting a brick wall on this one so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

My great grandmother Aniie Elizabeth Cardwell, dob 1/5/1870 was sentenced to 6m in prison for child neglect.  She was living in Factory Lane in Doncaster at the time.

Can anyone tell me where she was imprisoned and when she was released.  This sentence was in 1910 and as she is back at home in the 1911 census it is obviously between these times.

Glad you got the email before Rootschat removed it.  I have some very interesting stuff regarding 2 Cardwells who were killed in 1918 in France and also some newspaper articles regarding various 'criminal' offences, alhtough some of them would not even be reported these days.  Please email me you contact details if you will.

Happy Christmas, may be New Year before I'll have time to sort much out for you.

The photo I have added is of 'an unknown Clayton' can you help with an identification?

Regards

Chris
