It looks similar to Ty Crwn Roundhouse Prison in Barmouth Wales. There is a rocky outcrop behind it too, though I haven't found a photo taken from the exact angle of the painting so am unsure if this is the place.That's it! That's exactly the one. Thanks so much everyone.
Further to Ellenmai's Cornwall clue, there is a "roundhouse" at Sennen Cove thought I don't think this is the place depicted in the painting.It is a possibility though.
