Hi Kate,

Me again. I just realised why I knew that name - he's in my tree!!!!!

I have Shanks Fleming married to Marion Millar 1851 Abbotshall, Fife
They had 10 children.
Their daughter Christina Fleming married a Andrew Clark who was born in
Auchterderran.
I found 4 children for them:

1. Shanks Fleming Clark. b. 1885 Auchterderran m. Mary Walker Herkes on
16th March 1906 in Dundonald.

2. Jane Clark no other info

3. David Fleming Clark who was killed in action in France 25th June 1918 WWI

4. Marion Clark b. 1881 Abbotshall

My connection is with the Herkes side.
My grandmother's sister married Edward Herkes who was Marion Herkes nephew if that makes sense.

Let me know if any of this tallies with your info.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Elaine
