Hi I cant see Mr Hesselwood on the 1921 census the only person I can find that might fit is an Alick Hesselwood b 1891 registered West Ham Essex who served in the merchant navy and is on the 1911 census as Alec

Fanny is on the GRO index 1838 Burton upon Trent as Henchcliff MMN Scattergood so it looks like your theory is correct on the second marriage

There is a burial on FreeREG

St Giles Willenhall 7.9.1849 Harriet Baker aged 36

There doesn't seem to be a corresponding death certificate on FreeBMD

Hi and welcome

1901 at 1 Hopkins Street Tipton

Isaac 53 head b Dudley general labourer ironworks
Julia 49 wife b Dudley
Isaac 23 son b Tipton bricklayers labourer
Sarah A 20 dau b Tipton
Thomas 17 son b Tipton general labourer
Daniel 15 son b Tipton groom
Emma 13 dau b Tipton
Arthur 10 son b Tipton
Julia 8 dau b Tipton
Laura 4 dau b Tipton

Isaac Arthur and Laura are still living at home in 1911 and there is a grandson Victor Stanley Clewes b Dudley there as well so one of the girls married someone by the name of Clewes. I cant see a Henry at all on any of the census (Just realised this is Henry Allen Corbett from his first marriage)

I see that Isaac died in Birmingham in 1915 so it could be some of the family moved over there

Ok now I am a little confused - why do you think his first name is John? He is down as Thomas on the 1911 census and the marriage transcript has no mention of John on either

If his first name is Thomas there is a Thomas on FreeREG (and the 1891 & 1901 census) baptised Greets Green Primitive Methodist born 26.9.1883 baptised 17.10.1883 parents Charles and Jane labourer of Greets Green
