Hi, I also have a similar help request. My Huguenot surname is Gruzelier & they settled in Cornwall in the latter part of the 1600's. Anne Gruzelier was born in Madron, Cornwall in 1701 to parents Jean Gruzelier (b1670) & Magdalene Bilbau (b1680). That is the only information I have & researching Huguenot genealogy is a new venture for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think I can help , my g'grandfather Thomas Gruzelierwas born in 1733 his parents were  Jean Gruzelier and magdalene Bilbaude this part of the family settled in Stoke Demeral Devon

« on: Sunday 25 November 12 21:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Ray
I have been reading your posts and I believe we are related in some way,
I am searching for the birth of my 6th g'grandfather John Warren born in St Johns Cornwall ,parents unknown he married  ( Sibilla Arundel / Arundell , also her birth unknown) in Sheviock in 1679/1680, I have the decendancy line down from them but  my search is at a dead end, John and Sibilla's marriage is listed under Heraldy in Visitations of Cornwall     Sheviock page 31.

Hoping you may be able to assist me in my search.
Best wishes

Hi
I realize your request for info on Robert Warren is not what I am offering you,
and I apologise ,I am also desperate to find my Warren's of the same area including Sheviocke, the last names I have of my line are John Warren possibly born1650-60 who married Sibilla Arundell in Sheviock on Jan 1679 who could be the same age as him,  their son John bapt; 18/8/1687   married Triphena Rundell  on 29/6/1719   and their son   Richard  b.24/4/1726 married Grace Callaway/Carraway on 21/1/1751 in Sheviocke   and their son  John bapt; 5/1/1755  married   Mary Westlake on 16/1/1781 and I feel perhaps your Robert Warren is connected to my family.
Many Thanks

Glad you aren't mad at me !

Births Sep 1848
Warren    Edward Penioud Languin        Stourbridge    18   518

That is from freebmd
http://www.freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

It is just very circumstantial with the middle name.  Amelia Penicud on the marriage reference, they are just so alike. (given odd pronunciation, accents, spelling and so on).  I wonder why they gave him that middle name, he's not the eldest or anything.

Freebmd is very good, but it wasn't compulsory to register until 1875 (I think about that year).  That is where the marriage reference is from.  Penicud/Penicott etc sounds vaguely Cornish to me.  I wouldn't be surprised.

You're so lucky having English ancestry.  Mine are nearly all Irish. I had one Welsh Jones line.  My, but they seemed to throw themselves at me, which was most unusual.  And it was all confirmed by another researcher I so so wish I had an Enlgish line to research.  My ex-OH has a lovely English background. Did it for the family.  Managed to get wills and all sorts.

Well I hope Edward is yours.  Let us know how you get on.
