Still the same although the area around it is changing fast. A new bypass through Bargoed, no coal tip and plans to redevelope the town centre.

     We have a partial copy of Thomas Morris marriage cert. James is listed as a Master carpenter, but he may have been an undertaker at sometime.   ???

         Yes that's the one James Morris carpenter my great grandfather,father of Thomas Morris in picture who was my grandfather.

James 31 and Ann 27 were both born in Radnorshire. In Tredegar 1881 with 3 children.
 
Looking for information births marriage parents  Ann's maiden name etc.

     I have just found marriage cert. for William John Jones and Florence Mable Butland dated 09-10-13.
William father name was Evan coal miner. Certificate is stamped Monmouthshire Territorial Forces Assoc. 35 Stow Hill Newport.

         My brother has a telegram notication of Thomas Morris death in ww1 stating is wife Eva and parents James and Ann. I have also found part of a marriage certificate for Thomas and Eva at Hanbury Baptist Chapel Bargoed. Still trying to find out more. Will keep you informed of any progress.
          Marriage April 1909 at which time James was recorded as deceased.

          Thanks for your help. I am really enjoying this.

      I have some more info regarding Thomas Morris he :D :D was the son of James and Ann Morris of 67 West Street Bargoed. I would like to delve further into the past and learn a bit more about the Morris family.

     I am Kens cousin, don't know if this is the correct  way to contact you but ?
     My grandfather Thomas Morris was married to Eva Dare they had two sons Thomas and James. After my grandfather death Eva remarried Edward Wilson and had two more sons Albert and Clifford.
