Hi Jen,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I've heard of what we call the LONGHORN connection and I think I have a copy of part of tree in my filebox.

I've had some people thinking we may be related anothers thinking not. :-\

Not been able to find a link so far though it would be great if we could I think there is one somewhere.

Will dig out the CRAWFORTH tree for that branch and have another delve and look see

Regards
Lin

Hi Jen,
I'm researching the CRAWFORTH family in the Hull area.  Mine are from in and around Paull and keyingham.

Don't know if we have a link or not would be great to find out.

Lin

Hi,

Is anyone researching the following:

Hodgson ( Sutton / Sculcoates, Hull)
Crawforth - Sutton / Easington/Otteringham
Longhorn - Sproatley / Aldborough
Greenhorn - Sproatley
Major - Drypool
Robinson - Easington
Penington - North Newbald
Moore, Cartwright, Torr - Hull ( various areas)

This is the furthest north my partner's ancestry has gone so far. I'm not sure whether he likes the thought of having Yorkshire blood but I say it is probably his saving grace!

Cheers,

Jen

hi All,
Do you know it's so long since i posted her due to computer problems that I can't remember who I'd found the link with!! ;)

However leading on from that have made several links now with people who are connected with Matthew and Hannah CRAWFORTH.

The concensus seems to be that Matthew and Hannah were cousins.  It is very likely that Hannah's parents were thomas CRAWFORTH and Hannah MEEK.  Also Our Hannah seems also to be registed as Annah or Anna.

Hi J.J.
Yes it was really exciting .  We looked at photo's of each others ancestors and so likenesses some spookily so.  We found a couple in ourselves too.

Joshua born 1797 is my line.  My branch stayed in the Uk but it was so great to help my Canadian relative with all the info I got here.

Sorry to be so long replying, my computer blocked this page for literally months and I couldn't get in.

Having now had it sorted am able to get back in.
