Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Enlargement If Poss of Mr Kenworthy
« on: Friday 25 November 11 16:57 GMT (UK)  »
These two fine looking gentlemenwere founders of a club to which I belong.

It is our centenary next year and these are the only know photos of the two founders, but sadly they are very sa=mall, and one is even copied from a book published in 1899 !

What I am hoping is that they can be enlarged without losing too much of the images.

Is it a go-er ?

And if so, will someone have a shot at them please ?

Thanks

Just a quick note to confirm that another ED has been added to the censuses of this area.

It's ED 7 from 1911 covering Mossley Brow and surroundings.

All available from www.c5d.co.uk

I hope this helps someone.

Good Luck

<<I haven't got his death cert so I don't know his cause of death.I cannot afford to send for certs that sometimes don't get to me here in Spain.>>

You could always go through an intermediary who scans certs to you before they are posted to Spain.

Cost a tad more, but at least you'd get the info.

Just a thought

London and Middlesex / Re: Marriage Licences/Bonds Deptford 1809
« on: Thursday 07 April 11 20:55 BST (UK)  »
Thanks.

I was hoping that there might be some thing on the bond or allegation as she was a widow, and there was no real reason for them to marry by licence.

Just run of the mill ordinary folk.

No baby appeared either shortly after !

Thanks anyway

London and Middlesex / Marriage Licences/Bonds Deptford 1809
« on: Thursday 07 April 11 13:20 BST (UK)  »
William Pike married Elizabeth Baker at Deptford in 1809 by Licence.

I understand that Rochester Diocese Licences are the Centre for Kentish Studies but they tell me they do not have a copy.

They suggested Vicar General Licences and whilst told me they are at Lambeth Palace, I understand that they are on FindMyPast. Sadly, I couldn't come across an entry there either.

Before I assume that it hasn't survived is there anywhere else it could be ?

Not the LMA who only have Deptford Licences after 1872.

Thanks
