Cheshire Lookup Requests / Re: Harriet Ridgway
« on: Sunday 02 December 07 04:09 GMT (UK)  »
Many thanks for your reply to me search reguest and your offer for further information.     My problem does not exist with Harriet, but with her fatherJames Ridgway. I did know that he had married Catherine Penlington, at St, Chads in Hanmer, I thought that I could simply send the appropriate amount of money, and information, and that would give me a leg up on locating his father.  However ,after a series of emails and revised information entries, the outcome was she had certinly got married but the groom was a mystery.   Could it be that this mysterious James was the kissing bandit who roamed that area from time to time......nah,he's just a farm boy how got lost in the shuffle.       Best regards......Doug Good from Cloverdale, British Columbia.

Flintshire Lookup Requests / Hanmer Baptism 1813/14 loolup please
« on: Wednesday 02 November 05 20:24 GMT (UK)  »
I would appreciate information on the family of Joseph and Ann(e) Penlington.     It would appear that their youngest child, Catherine, was christened about 1820 and I would really appreciate any information on this event.     If she had siblings, this information would be most welcome.

Just in case you are still looking for Hanmer, go to multimap.com and you will find it on A539 between Eglwy Cross and Penley.     The town is just off  the hyway and Hanmer Mere (lake) is also there.     The local church is St. Chads and my family line, Penlington, were from the area.     If you have any problems, get back to me at spuggles25@msn.com.           dcg.

Flintshire / Penlingtons - Hanmer,Marford
« on: Wednesday 12 October 05 22:25 BST (UK)  »
Seeking information on the Joseph and Ann Penlington family. It would appear that they lived in the Marford area in the late 1790 with the youngest child, Catherine, being christened 14May1820. She is a direct blood relative but the rest of the family is of interest as well.
