Thanks LM, more 'myself' now  :) occasionally one of those annoying tickles in throat making me cough but thankfully not a 'chesty' virus  :)

You're on track then Viktoria  :) stay well ...

Have also caught up with the 'proper' image of the photo Jeff, lovely and a treasure.
No idea what makes the images 'stretch' at times, have had it happen with a very few of my 'umpteen' TOT photos I've posted over the years  ???

The weeks go by so fast I've lost track ... but hopefully Viktoria you're behaving yourself  ;)

While quickly passing through the city yesterday, I noticed a massive Christmas bauble already in place in a downtown square, possibly more than just the one as I didn't venture closer to look, size and colour made it stand out in view.

I was making up for lost time a bit with a grand day out, kept away from 'people' for a full week, really sore throat 8 days then conjunctivitis last weekend, so some viral thing, all ears, nose, throat, eyes  :P but did start to think bacterial ... however cleared up finally and covid test negative  :)

Enjoy the weekend all  :) ...

Best Wishes to you and your twin LM, many happy returns  :)

Back from a few days road trip, we've managed to clock up a fair few kms on the new car in 6 weeks gallivanting here and there with road trips ... still refer to it as mileage  :D

Lovely catching up with 2 groups of friends at 2 events, 1 absentee at 2nd one who called off having tested positive for covid.

Be well all ... start of another new week for diary, gone 5.20pm Monday 3rd for us NZ  :)

You have a good recall for historical events Viktoria  8) I'm more interested in historical stuff than in school years though not a lot on offer really then and mostly limited to particular NZ events and then not chosen as a subject at senior level.

Very petite you are too!! that is a bit ancient history for me  :D I was 6st 10lb when I met husband but was probably eating like a sparrow then, eating out and socialising more after that, then home cooking and feeding family and these days just trying to keep a bit moderate. I don't usually do much in way of baking or puddings for just the two of us, always something husband can have to eat for afters if he wants it but he is trying to be a bit moderate too. I did make an apple and fig crumble this week, mainly to use the preserved figs taking up room in the fridge. Daughter's friend gave us a huge jar but they are too syrupy and sweet for us really and only slowly getting through them and nearly gave up as struggled with lid of jar this time and thought I was going to break it. I had already cut up some Granny Smith apples ( granny sniff as daughter's goddaughter calls them  :D ) so persevered and nice but still just a small portion each time.

Holiday weekend NZ and things to do around home really, a few days away for us next week ... enjoy your weekend all ...

Neighbour across road pops their newspaper in our box when finished with it usually early morning, they don't do any of the puzzles so suits me as rest of paper is often just a flick through and perhaps an article or two that isn't free online. I also collect the paper and mail from next door when they are on fairly regular days away visiting family for a couple of nights at a time, then another neighbour along road takes all used newspapers to the Lions Club, along with any aluminium we accumulate  :)

Sounds like you're ticking along OK Viktoria with everything in check  ;) So much development in first year for babies, Lily sounds a delight  :)

We haven't heard from KG in a while, his surgery was scheduled early in the month so  :-\ and hope all good and recovering OK as doesn't appear to have logged into RC this month ...

All the best to all ...

Easy does it Viktoria ... a week down now and plenty of rest and some more comfort and pampering your way required for a few weeks yet, not easy to break the mould eh ;)

Birthdays here and there, friends and several family. A happy get-together last Saturday for middle granddaughter turned 6, catch up with husband's only sister and baby of his family after 4 boys, she's just had her 8th grandchild and the 5th boy born 9 days before her birthday this week. My eldest sister next week, she was a great grandmother before I was a grandma with all her grandchildren 20's and 30's now, one grandson abroad for a few months and in London at present.

Back to another week closing in though the days lengthening daylight hours for us, Friday has come around quickly, our youngest and her husband are coming over tomorrow which is always lovely.

Happy days all and be well or as well as can be  :) ...
