England / Fudge Jamse

Hi. I am trying to help a friend. she is from England but with no family history. Her mother name is Elizabeth Mary James, who married a Harold Fudge. She thinks around late 30's early 40's Elaine was born in Bristol England, around 1940 or 41. she has her birth cert. but you can not read it. Her father died in ww11 and her mother came to America sometime in the late 40 or 50 on the ship know what is more confusing is that immigration can not find info on her so they think she may have been a stool away on the ship. Elaine would like to know any info on her father and his side. If that can be found She said that all she could fine when her mother died was that her Grandmother name was Ellen James on her mother side. This all she has to go on.Thank You for any help ??? ???

« on: Sunday 26 September 04 14:10 BST (UK)  »
:)Thank you so much to Sue for the information you sent me. In the 1871 census there living in Julia and James Ridgewell household was a Walter and David Ridgewell, Walter was about 15 and David who is my Great Grandfather  than in the 1881 Walter is not listed and i can not fine anything on him, but there is a Isabella Ridgewell listed as Granddaughter age 13 and I can not fine info on her since than . This whole family is one big mistery. I got info on my Grandfather and his wife Elizabeth but then there is a mistory on that because a aunt Billie said that there oldest son was Cliton Royal and he was born in 1998 my Grandfather was born in 1891 but is not mention in the 1900 or 1910 census for there house in Duluth MN.  ??? Thanks for any help
