Hi I have not been on here for a while so hope someone can add some colour to this photo for me .It is of my late brother-in-law John Beardsley. It is the only photo we have of him in his uniform.

Just to add, Kelly's 1905 directory says the Alexandra Hotel was private, and Mrs Spriggs was the proprietress,5 Norman Place, St Marys Street, Lincoln.

This is a scanned photo sent to me today of my late uncle Tom Toulson 1913-1969with his prize-winning chrysanthemums taken in the 1950s. Please can anyone improve it for me.

Hi tonepad, After your message my son looked at the ticket through a magnifying glass and looked for the embossed number at the top, and I am sure that the info reads 421976 which having given some thought one of my brothers was in the army in the 70s and went to Norway whilst serving, so I believe it looks like my dad put the ticket with his paperwork.

So I am sure you have solved the ticket problem.
