World War Two / George William Marsh - Airmans No 1440328 - Burma

My father  (dob 13.12.21) served between 28.6.41 and 17.7.46 in the RAF.  He was in Burma - and I believe as a driver.  I know very little about his time there - like his comrades he rarely spoke of it.

I would like to access his records but have no idea where or how to go about it.  I thought there was an online application for but it seems that is for those born before 1909.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Pro Tools Offer

Hi,  Thought I'd give it a go but sadly am underwhelmed.  The comparisons it offers are the same as the ones on My Heritage, FTDNA and Gedmatch which are free.  I won 't be investing after the free month.

Technical Help / Re: No sound on laptop

I had something similar with the micrphone when we started using Zoom during lockdown.  Tried all sorts - thinking back I uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom and mucked about with various settings - it did work with a separate mike and eventually worked as it should.
Thinking on the same lines,  have you tried earbuds / head phones?   Does the laptop have bluetooth - could you utilise that until the speaker problem is solved?

I had a call a while back - here's my post

I've had no further calls but still think its a scam.  I think perhaps My Heritage was hacked....

Thank you for that.  I'll tell her to look there for it :)

Ancestry has a search facility for 'UK, Records of the Removal of Graves and Tombstones, 1601-2007'.   I've never needed to use it but you could try.   We can't look for you without a name of the deceased

Thanks for the advice.  I'll have another look.  I am aware of the file format - I have software that she can install to read it.
Cheers
