There are 1 or 2 DONOVAN's buried in Ebbw Vale on the findagrave.com site. Not sure if you're aware but Newtown is/was part of Ebbw Vale.....
Should keep checking that site because it is updated quite frequently.....

Kerry / Who was Cable O'Leary
« on: Monday 20 July 09 15:00 BST (UK)  »
I was browsing online and came across a reference for "Cable O'Leary's inn" which apparently is situated in Ballinskelligs.
The name seems odd to me, but I cannot seem to find out anything about this person.
I am aware that the area once had a cable station and wondered if it had anything to do with that?

« on: Saturday 27 June 09 14:20 BST (UK)  »
The Council of Irish Genealogists-   www.cigo.ie -  have organised a online petition to try to get the 1926 census released earlier than planned.

You can read about the why's and wherefores by visiting their site and viewing the info to the left of the screen.

Thanks for that...excellent news about the 1901 because I it looks like my lot may have left before the 1911 census.

HELP!! I need somebody to point me in the right direction.

I'm checking out a tentative link between my family in Caherdaniel and a townland near Dunmanway.

The birth date would be approx 1804 so the Parish registers aren't any help.
I cannot find a census or anything similar for the years 1895 - 1901.

Where do I go from here?? Are there any publications which may help??
