Hello, John Ityner

I read this as:

a) Theodor Schwartz from the Town Riga in the Balticum,

1) Luisa with Fritz Junker

2) Valeri with Georges de Woronoff

hello, Twizzlad

You can put in a question about your Georg Becker as an accordion maker from Germany in a forum- page of the Musikinstrumentenmuseum Markneukirchen in The Vogtland in Saxonia in Germany.
This museum is a verry importent center for the music-instruments manufactoring, also for accordions in germany.

the internet forum adress is:

http://museum-markneukirchen.de/forum/index.php

I think, you can ask at first only for the name Georg Becker and for the names of other members of your musical instruments makers family.

Maybe, the leader  of the museum (a woman, Mrs.Heidrun Eichler) knows the name Becker as an instrument manufacter.
The email- adress of the museum is:

museum.mkn[--at--]t-oneline.de

I think, you can write in english in this forum and also to the email- adress.

I wish you progress!

Hello, Poppysmum,

I have had a look on Church records from Schleswig (a town in the North of Prussia): Maybe - so as Berlin-Bob suspected- this is real the german place like "Sidfich".
For any Schleswig- Churches  the Mormones have records and there are also census lists, but it is a hard way to read all the filmes of Church-books. But if they have a personal register, then you can find easy the name LAUFFER or you find not. If any LAUFFER in the records, then theother are not faraway!

But I am not sure, if Schleswig is the real place for your ancestors.

I wish you a Good  progress!

Hello, HH!

It is a long way and- at least in Berlin - a very money consuming request, if you let search the german Standesamt for birthday or day of marriage, when you not surely know the exact day or year .
In Berlin we have many Standesämter, for every part of the town an own! Duesseldorf is also a big town, maybe they have also not only one Standesamt.
If they must search for your ancestor over a range of any years, then  the payment is greater and greater.

But also I, likewise  Justin, propose to write a friendly letter to this Standesamt ( better with Post that with email!): Maybe they help you without formality and without big payment.

Excuse my bad english!

Hello, Jeanette,

yesterday I had forgotten to write you: I think you can write your request to the pastors in Bad Kreuznach without a problem in english: I am sure, they can read this very easy!

Normally you and everybody must pay for a research in a church book, because this is time consuming, and a people in the office (often a old pensioner)  obtains a job for searching in the books.

But I think, anybody in the office maybe friently and have a look in the register.
If there is not a register, then it ist too mutch work for the office.

heartly  Wolfgang
