Sincere thanks for all the excellent restores  to Alan m, Carol, Tommy, Stevew101, Yvonne and Carolyn.

I had posted thanks previously but my post and one 'altered' rather than restored image appear to have been removed, possibly by the moderator.

Wish to reassure everyone that I value your hard work on the image.

Thanks Rosie and Carolanne - i should have been clearer, i was looking for information on a birth of George Turner in 1876, admission details of his mother and hopefully details confirming his father was Joseph Turner. I was told the Guardians minutes books and commitee minutes, would not help with this. I have the birth certificate, but BRICKWALL on his father Joseph, he does not appear on any census with his wife or supposed children! The only concrete evidence i have of Joseph's existence is the marriage in 1867, although Joseph is not recorded with the family on any census his wife does not list herself as a widow until the 1891 census. I think this is one brickwall i am never going to break down. Thanks anyway for your input.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Charles Tomlinson and Eliza Gray
« on: Friday 09 August 13 14:29 BST (UK)  »
Charles born c1813 son of Robert(1785-1866) and Jane (nee Good-1786-1879).
Charles married Eliza Gray 16 Apr 1842 Thorne Parish Church, they had at least four children, Mary(c1844), Jane Ann (1847-1894), William(1849-1888) and Betsy (c1855).
The children appear to have been looked after by the paternal grandparents.
Charles was a mariner, unable to locate Charles or Eliza in an 1851 or later census. Although have found a Master's Certificate of Service no 53.423 issued 22 Feb 1851 for him.
Charles and Eliza were still alive c1855 when Betsy was born, did they die shortly after?
Any help appreciated, thanks for looking.
