Armed Forces / Army discharge documents

Hello

I am interested in searching for Army Discharge documents or any military records for my Gt Gt grandfather private Henry Burke who served with the 50th Regiment between 1860 and 1880 ( approx. ) I have a regimental number 3530 , and believe he may have served in the Maori wars in New Zealand 1864 - 1866 , I am in New Zealand and can't go into the National Archives in Kew , is there any way of accessing military records online ??
He was born in Essex, about 1838, married at Aldershot in 1872, and died in Surrey in 1894, I would like to check that the regimental number is for the right man !
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Dean :) :)

Many thanks for that,  I was wondering if the parish registers for Limehouse had survived the war and if they had, where were they stored.

I would like to see what the original register shows for this marriage as I have a date and a place but thats all.

Cheers
Dean

Hello

I am looking for marriage records for St. Anne's Limehouse for 1807 , these don't appear to be in the LDS records, does anyone know where I might be able to access these records if they exist ?

The marriage I am looking for is for Richard Woolhouse and Avis Rice.

Any help appreciated     :)

Hello

Many thanks for the replies,

I am in New Zealand and don't have access to Irish indexes,  certainly the record for James Fletcher born in Antrim 1868 is a good possibility, to narrow the field are there many other Northern Ireland  birth records for James Fletcher ( around 1865 )where the father is Edward ??

Are there any Irish birth indexes on CD ?

I also need to find passenger lists for migration to South Australia circa 1886

Are there any birth records for Margaret Mary Quinn in Cork  circa 1852 ?

Many thanks    :D

« on: Thursday 18 June 09 13:10 BST (UK)  »
Hello

Has anyone got access to indexes for Cork which might show a marriage for a Margaret Mary Quinn to a groom with the surname Lyons, circa 1870's ?

She may have been born  1850's.

Also looking for a birth for a James Fletcher born in Northern Ireland about 1865 , father's name Edward.    :)              These two married in Adelaide Australia in 1886.

Any help much appreciated   :D
