newburychap,
I honestly don't know the answer to your question.  I seem to remember visiting another cemetery in Inkpen, but could not say for sure what religious denomination would have been buried there.  I am hoping to visit Reading this coming Spring or Summer, so will leave this search for now.  I really do appreciate your comments.  Thanks to you and to others who replied.

CaroleW & newburychap,
Sincere thanks for the information.  I know for sure John was living in Inkpen at the 1911 Census and so far as I know was in Inkpen from Christening in May 1831 through Census Records from 1841 to 1911 never moved, so I would have to assume that he would be buiried at St. Michaels and all Angels in Inkpen.  He had a Son James May living in Inkpen from Birth in 1854 to Death in 1934.
Another Son and three Daughters all moved to the London area.  I will have to ponder this some more.  Don't really know which way to continue.  Thanks again for your interest.

Carole,

Looked at free BMD and found two in 1913 one in Hungerford age 88 and one in Wokingham 83.
The Wokingham age is correct but I would have to think the one in Hungerford more likely as that is the District for Inkpen.  As they say here I am now between a rock and a hard place!

lizdb,
I now have the Oliver Green/Fanny May Marriage Certificate and although this Fanny May is on my tree as part of the May family, she is not my Great Grandmother.  Fanny was the Daughter of Job May and Mary nee Swadling.  My Fanny was the Daughter of John & Emma May nee Franklin.
I think I will put this one to bed for now as I don't seem to be making any headway.  This is a real brick wall and may never be solved, so I must move on to other things while I still have time.  Odd as it may seem the two Fanny Mays' were Cousins.  Just my luck to have thw wanderer! Thanks to everyone who tried to help.

You are of course quite correct.  I have ordered the Marriage Certificate today and will post the result here as soon as I receive it.  Thanks again for your time and effort.

I seem to have confused this story and for that I apologise.  I am quite sure that Fanny May born in the second quarter of 1860 Volume 2c Page 221 in the District of Hungerford, one of 11 children born to John May and Emma Franklin.  John & Emma were married in 1852, from the Inkpen Parish Register
"April 12 1852 John May a Labourer of full age (Bachelor) from Inkpen, Father James a labourer, married Emma Franklin a 20 year old Spinster, also from Inkpen, her Father was Charles Franklin a Labourer.  Witnesses - John Franklin & Harriet May'.
I think I can be quite positive that this Fanny was my Great Grandmother and not the Fanny who married Oliver Green.
Again, my apologies for all the confusion this has caused.

lizdb,
No, I don't have the marriage cert. just a note from a friend and at the moment I can't find that note.  I did find Fanny, Dtr. of Job & Mary on the 1881 Census in Hampshire as a Kitchen Maid to a Clergryman and his family. and of course my Fanny was still at home s you menioned, so I think I can be pretty sure she was not the one I was after.  Thanks again.  I will show this  as being completed now.
