Hi Ev,   I am aware of that Harriet  which has caused some confusion between Bowmans & our family , & she left Cumbria for the North East at 6yrs of age , whereas our Harriet was resident in the whitehaven area until marriage & death at Lampugh in 1835,   it is possible I have the wrong baptism date ,  I have our Harriets father , I think , as Anthony (on a will) but no mother . I hope I haven't caused more confusion .   Thank you for your time & efforts . Ron Hamilton .N.Z.  :)

I have Harriet Jane Hamilton ,date of baptism Oct 27 1809,  & I dearly want to know any clues to her parentage on record .  I know she was married to John Bowman in Whitehaven ,14/6/1831.  Thank you .   Ron Hamilton, N.Z.

Hi Colette ,   Thank you for your efforts.  In 1871 He & Wife Annie were in Hamilton Rd , Everton. In !881 Annie & family were in 57 St Albans, Anfield, minus William, who was booked in to Kirkdale Gaol, aged 41, book-keeper, married, born Staithes ,Yorks .     He was home with the family at 57 St Albans in 1891 .  I suspect he might have been 'fiddling the books ', but I'd love to get some detail .  Ron

I hope I'm not offending anyone by intruding here . I have a problem , My G/Grandpa  William Adamson , book-keeper ,41 was an inmate in Kirkdale Gaol in 1881  & I would dearly like to locate information as to his offence etc.  He does not appear to be in Liverpool Records Files & I have hit a brick-wall & would appreciate any suggestions to proceed further .    Ron Hamilton , N.Z.

I have just recieved the crew agreement of the S.V. Shakespeare'  ,ON 73684  , which my grandpa sailed on in 1881 , giving the scale of rations too,  amongst other detail , fascinating incite into conditions at that time , as a historical document it is most informative,  If anyone would like a copy let me know .  Ron Hamilton , N.Z.  :)
