Hi, just looking and saw about the farm house at the end of dores road are you still looking for information? as there is a picure of it in stratton publication but the farm has long gone as my house is one of 3 built on the site if your interested i wil try and find out the owners names for you.

Dont know whether anyone could help me here?
Im trying to find the marriage details for a George Archer born abt 1801 in Wiltshire and he married a woman called Kate, but i dont know her surname. She was also born around 1801.
Im not to clear on where they lived, but got strong feeling they could have been living in Chilsledon

Any help would be great

they look remarkably like my gggrandparents and grandmother, I took their pictures out to compare, the similarities were remarkable.  My photo is of them standing outside a thatched cottage aswell. My heart was racing, maybe it was just the clothes and hair styles of the time that made them look alike( but a piece of me wanted it to be them )...,the older man looks taller in ,your photograph than the one I have :-\

I will ask and find out who they are. They are family members, but its not written on the back of the photo who it is.
Im thinking the surnames of this family were Lewis or Archer
