HI Havenchris.
  I think i am researching the same Dixon Family
 and have recently come into possesion of a family tree for Dixons from Borrowdale and the graphite mines.
 Some of these were Mine overseers etc
 Also the cottage appears to figure in the information.
 We are back to John Dixon in 1700??
 Also Thomas Dixon of Longdale. Mine steward  Bap. 1726 M. Margaret af Hawkeshead 1748? Hawkeshead
