Ayrshire / Re: ayr deaths 1820 to1854 vol 13

Hi Donna,

I am wondering if James NIVEN and/or his wife Elizabeth NIVEN (ms BOYD) appear in your listing. James was born abt 1805 and Elizabeth was born about 1810 both in St. Quivox. I am unable to find their deaths on ScotlandsPeople, so I have a hunch that they died sometime between 1845 (son Robert was born) and 1855.

Thanks
Alison :-)

Thanks very much for this tip. I had run out of time with 12 credits left and didn't want to buy 6 pounds worth just to use them up. I'm now can get four more records.....!!!! This great.  :) Love this hobby.  ...and hopefully someday will make it over to see my ancestors homeland...

Ayrshire / 1881 Census Lookup; HOPKIN, ROBERTSON
« on: Saturday 18 July 09 18:46 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering if sks could do a lookup in the 1881 Scotland census, Ayrshire ...  :)

I would like to find the children of Robert and Helen HOPKIN in 1881; Mary HOPKIN b. 1870, Alexander HOPKIN b. 1872, and Robert HOPKIN 1874. By 1881 Robert was deceased and Helen (b. 1850) had remarried William ROBERTSON.

Any help in finding these children would be greatly appreciated.

Genealogically yours,
Alison

Devon / MILLER/MAY Plymouth (Holbeton), DEV, ENG

I'm researching a number of English lines, but the one that has my undivided attention right now is the family of Thomas MILLER and Mary Ann MAY. I think they may have married in 1840 as I have found a match in the BMD index (1840 2Q-June Thomas MILLER and Mary Ann MAY Plymouth 9 440). They had a daughter name Harriet May MILLER whom was born 3 Mar 1852 in Plymouth (Holbeton), Devon. I would like to know if anyone else is climbing this family tree....

Ayrshire / 1901 Scotland Census Look-up - ADRAIN
« on: Wednesday 14 November 07 02:38 GMT (UK)  »
I was wondering if someone would be able to do a lookup in the 1901 census for me.

I'm looking for James (b. 1869 Irvine, AYR, SCT) and Agnes ADRAIN (b. 1871 New Cumnock, AYR. SCT) in Ayrshire, possibly Kilwinning with their children Janet (b. 1895) and William (b. 1897). Thanks.
