Anyone who is still interested I found Roberts Birth in 1841 which was not registered (Ithink) in the parish records of Earsdon. I found his marriage which again was not on the IGI in the Earsdon parish records.
It is nearly a year to the day that I first started to look for Robert
and thanks to Michael I eventually found him

Northumberland / Tynemouth Marriages
« on: Sunday 08 August 04 23:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
from my initial enquiry about a birth or marriage in Tynemouth I see a lot of people have looked at this and I just wondered if this information is any good to them. From the LDS family History Centre I ordered a film of Tynemouth marriages from 1850-1868. If you do a search on the LDS site on line for Tynemouth you will see it. The number begins 2193270 Baptisms 2193272 Marriages. From this I have found about 8 marriages for my family which I couldn`t find on line. There is also baptisms. Hope this is of some help. I still haven`t found my Robert Brotherick.

I found Roberts baptism and birth from the film and his marriagethis should read Earsdon not Tynemouth

Michael,
Edward and Robert and Mary the first baptisms mentioned are Brothers and sister. All born to Robert and Elizabeth Brotherick nee Turnbull. Robert (son born 1821) was a shoe maker who stayed in Seaton Sluice all his life. Married a Frances Grant.  Edward married Margaret Lane and it is this couple who I found on the 1851 census with first son Robert 10yrs old, who I Think is my Robert.  I have them on 1851 census at Seaton Lodge Seaton Deleval I have a marriage certificate for Edward and Margaret married Sept 1841. I have Edward their son born Sept 43 but no baptism or birth for Robert.  Now where is Robert??? You mentioned another couple batising children at this time this is why I need to prove Edward and Margaret are Roberts parents.  I now it is daft but I need to prove their Robert is my Robert.
Thanks for your help if there is any way I can repay the favour just ask
Mary

Michael,
You could be right about Elizabeth Broderick being his grannie. She was Elizabeth Brotherick nee Turnbull. Notice the name change  the only time I have seen it spelt Broderick was on the 1881 census L.D.S. site. I have covered the tynemouth Christ Church Records for marriage. Now looking at births. This takes time as I can only get to the family History centre once a week. Ive been to Morpeth but didn`t know what to look for. I found James a younger brother is Earsdon parish records but they started too late for Robert. Looked on ST Catherines no luck. I will be back in Northumberland I hope before the end of the year. Funny thing is my other family are Johnson and I thought they would be more difficult but I have done well with them. Cambois and Bedlington.  I have see Seaton Sluice on line and there is a church record with a  a mention of Robert Broderick at the very bottom of the page I think this was St Albins  or some thing like. There is also a Robert Brotherick on the site in the Militia List. I Dont know if they were C of E or methodist. If you get the chance to look at Morpeth I will be thank full but don`t put yourself out . It may be slow but I will get there. Hope Sunderland win and you don`t get too drunk.
Thanks again
Mary
