 ;)Hi
Thank you for that information about Emma. Do you know anything more about her and Joseph James? For example did they have any children? I do know that Joseph died in 1910.
Joseph is the brother of my Gt Grandfather James James. His wife was Alvinea Eastwood (well Eastwood Breeds actually) So thank you Carol.

Hi,
Can anyone tell if Clayden is a travellers name. As my cousin's daughter has married a Clayden. My cousin is married to a Hilden, and I know that is a travellers name. Thankyou. Kuri (Carol)

 :DHi Tilly,

I see that you have downloaded some photos I put on Ancestry. I am related to James James born 1873 and his wife Alvinea Eastwood Breeds born 1876, they were my Gt. Grandpareants. Their eldest daughter Mary Ann was my grandmother. So how are we (I persume we are) related. Regards Carol. 8)

Travelling People / Emma Bignell and Joseph James
« on: Saturday 08 September 12 05:16 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Does anyone know of an Emma Bignell born in Northfleet Kent in 1878 her parents were Edward Bignell and Phillis Eastwood. Emma married a Joseph James in 1896 at Strood Kent. Joseph was born in Southwark London.
Joseph parents were John James and Elizabeth Freestone. They were both born in Cambridgeshire.

I have not been able to find Emma and James in any census after 1896. I do believe that Joseph died in 1910 at Brentfield Middlesex.
I have found an Emma James dying in 1899 aged 21, does anyone know if this is "my" Emma.
Carol  ;)
