The Crime and Punishment database at the National Library
has information about Hugh Hughes of Llangefni, age 33,
apprehended at St Asaph, accused of two seperate horse
thefts from William Prytherch and Hugh Humphreys, both of Llantrisant
in Anglesey. He was sentenced to death.

On the OS 6 inch map of 1888:

Gremp is shown one mile southeast of Llangwnadl & one
mile northwest of Bryncroes.

The ancestors of Robert Edwards of Teiliau House appear to have
settled there at some time between 1813 and 1838, judging from the
wills available at the National Library of Wales.

The will of Robert Jones of Teilie bach [NLW B/1813/165] dated 1810
and proved in 1813 appears not to be related. He named his son John
Robert co-executor and residual legatee. Other sons were called
Robert Jones and Richard Robert

The probate of John Edwards of Teiliau Bach [NLW B/1838/149]  (d:28
July 1838) mentions his son Edward Jones of Telia Bach.

The circa 1840 tithe apportionment for Ffestiniog lists Edward Jones
as the farmer of Teiliau Bach with Rev. Lloyd Wynne owner.

This can be seen at the NLW tithemap web site.

https://places.library.wales/

I looked for evidence of the father of John Edwards, who would likely
be called Edward John or Edward Jones or perhaps with some other second
name, but I found nothing persuasive. Your best bet would be to look
through the parish registers and graveyard inscriptions for
Ffestiniog, and then the neighbouring parishes of Maentwrog and
Trawsfynydd.

Possibilites are Edward Jones NLW B/1809/128 of Brynrodyn, Maentwrog,
who died 30 Oct 1809 and is buried at Ffestiniog, and Edward Roberts
of Brynhir, Trawsfynydd NLW B/1809/131.

The parish register for Coedana begins in 1813 but the bishops
transcript exists for 1685 and many but not all subsequent years.

The LDS has a copy on microfilm.

Possibly it has been scanned and is now online under access
restrictions. ie only from one of their family history centers or if
you are a member of their church.

More details are at familysearch.org. Goto Search > Catalog.

Two further sources of information about Rev  David Jones of Dwyran
are written in welsh.
Hanes Plwyf Niwbwrch [History of Newborough Parish] by Hugh Owen,
published in 1949, contains a chapter on Capel Ebenezer, a Calvinistic
Methodist Chapel, with a footnote which provides details about the
ancestors of Rev. David Jones. The Newborough methodists first worshipped
at Tyn-rallt the home of his grandfather, John David [baptized 17
January 1725 son of Samuel David and Jane Bonn, at Newborough church]

There is more at:
Hanes Methodistiaeth Môn  [History of the Methodist church in Anglesey (1851)]
volume 2 page 506 and the following pages. It adds the detail:

After the death of Sion Dafydd [John David], Ty'n-yr-allt, the
religious cause was moved from there to the well-known place of
Plas-Newborough, the residence of the parents of the Rev. D. Jones,
Dwyran, and stayed at there for about 7 years. After that it moved
again to Owen Jones's house, near the village.

The will of John David 1775 at the National Library of Wales
mentions his three sons John Jones, Owen Jones and William Jones and
one daughter Jane Jones.

NLW B/1775/16 John David; he was buried 21 August 1775.

For Mynyddislwyn I used a transcript done by a cousin, and the Risca
information came from a transcript done by David Woolven which I saw
on Mike John's website called monfamilies. Now closed down the data is
still accessible on the wayback machine and other places.

Nowadays I would use familysearch.org and the images of the original
registers on findmypast.co.uk or a local LDS family history center.
Gwent family history society sells fiche & booklet transcripts.

Aerelius s/o Wm Harry Morgan was baptized towards the end
of 1685 at Mynyddislwyn - the day and month are unreadable.

Later references to him in Mynyddislwyn are:

Martha d/o Aurelius Wm Hary was baptized 21 July 1715
Mary wife of Aurelius William was buried 21 October 1751

The father of Aerelius may be the William Harry Morgan
who was buried 15 July 1718.

If they continued to use welsh patronymic names, Martha
would have been called Martha Aurelius and it looks as
if the family used Aurelius as a surname thereafter.

The surname also occurs in the neighbouring parish of Risca
as Relious (1771), Relius (1773), Arelious (1780), Arelius (1781),
Aurelius (1785), Urelius (1788) and Aarelius (1796).

The baptist minister and poet Evan Jones of Castleton is listed in the
Dictionary of Welsh Biography
(http://yba.llgc.org.uk/en/s-JONE-EVA-1793.html) which mentions his
marriage to Mary Morgan, Maesyfelin, St. Lythan GLA in November 1824,
and with whom he had 12 children, 9 of whom survived.

His will can be seen at the NLW web site:
LL/1856/156 Evan Jones, Baptist minister, Marshfield, MON.
