Hello Craig

I don't know if we have been in touch but your Samuel A'Court and my great grandma Eleanor A'Court were brother and sister.

I have an old photo of the last cottage Eleanor and her children lived in

What is your line down from Sam and Sarah?
Regards

Linda

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Scruby

Dear All

Looking for an Ebdon Scruby who married Amy Imber Morgan 1918.  They had one son R R Scruby born c 1920/21.  Amy remarried c 1924 to Mr Dowsing who was a fruit/grocer in London.  Are there any relations of these two marriages out there? Amy died in 1970

Any help much appreciated

Dear Kanskar

We have obtained her death certificate - sad to see - to think my dad never knew of her - her son Robert Richard Scruby registered the death - now we need to find him or his decendants.  He was living in Chelmsford in 1970.

We need to find these people - it would be very interesting to see if she has the same strong family resemblance of the Morgans.  I would dearly love to find a photo of her.

To think she lived all but across the Thames from her cousins aunt and uncle - small world.  I had a bit of searching done and I believe her first husband Ebdon Scruby may have married first in the village of Docking in Norfolk.  Guess where my husband comes from? Yup Docking - small world!

Thanks for the advice - do you have a link address for the Ros Davies' Co. Down, Ireland Genealogy Research Site?  It sounds promising with the Leeson cnnection - I have been unable to find anything earlier than references on the 1841 census to give me clues from where they originally came from

Thanks again

Ireland / Hannah Boyes c 1821 Ireland

Dear All

I hope someone can help - Hannah Boyes born c 1821 states in 1841 Census for Cumberland that she was originally from Ireland.  Her mothers names was Jane.  Her husband in 1841 was James Leeson of Cumberland. I have no earlier records of the Leesons so do not know where they originally come from and I would love to know where Hannah Boyes came from within Ireland

Thanks in advance

Dear Kanskar

Thankyou so much - I will be sending away for these certificates - I can't wait to tell my dad about this cousin that he knew nothing of till we saw the 1901 census!

To  think she moved to the Smoke and lived just the other side on London to my dad who lived in Waltham Cross - small world!

Hear from you all

Dear Stoodley Searchers

Anyone know of Charles Stoodley who married my Great Aunt Bessie Adaline Morgan?

The had five sons and three daughters - Bessie was from Shaftesbury and then end up at  Finchley Road, Wilton Road, Salisbury, Wilts both are buried at a cemetary in Salisbury.

Bessie died May 1944

With four sons (the little one died ages 2) there must be someone out there who know of them - Bessie also had a daughter first before marriage

Thanks

Angelcake
