Dublin / Re: Headstones or MIs for St. George CoI

I am very interested in "little George's Charch" grave yard as I believe that my ancestor,Thomas Dalrymple, his parents, wife Rebecca Dalrymple nee Walker and  3 of his children, 2 named Richard and Thomas, are possibly buried there. Thomas died in 1779 and his will says he wants to be buried with his parents, wife and children at Drumcondra. He was an attorney in Dublin and is said to be the brother of the Earl of Stair, but we are unable to find out who his father was

Thankyou for your reply.
It appears as if the land came through Patrick Duigenan, who was MP for Antrim and married Mrs Hester Hepenstal. The time frame I am looking at is any time from 1860 to the 1920's when the land was acquired by the government from the Hepenstals. We are visiting the area in a couple of weeks from Australia and I would have liked some background.Peggy

The Halpin name was originally Halfpenny and they changed it to Halpin,so you may have luck under that name,Peggyanne
