:DHi Jim - I don't know if Esther was ever a Buckingham - I did send for theMarriage cert since I was sure it would reveal Thomas as her husband but of course that was not the case - so there is no sure way to know what Esther's name was before she appears with Thomas. But I do appreciate your efforts on my behalf. Thanks.

Hi Jim - I found them in the Castle Precinct on Merchant st Esther is a Shoemaker age 38 David is 3. I made a copy of it as it is hard to read .
Yes Jim I had thought of that. I do know that she was 10 years older than him.The 1851 of Bristol Glos gives her as 38 and Thomas died in 1850 age 28. Only one child - David, is on the 1851 yet the death notice mentions her and 2 children. Thomas was crushed to death between 2 boilers in an accident at work. I have tried to get a Coroners enquiry but apparently they have been destroyed in a fire. I have'nt found a proper Obit just a little 1/2" blurb in the Bristol paper. There would be no Cemetery records as I have no doubt it would be a paupers grave.
