Sligo / Re: Alcock Family Sligo

I am from Wisconsin with the last name of Allcox.  I have traced our family tree to a Great-Great-Grandfather Peter Alcock from Sligo.  Came to the use about 1840 and ended up in Ohio then Wisconsin.  Last name has been found as Allcocks, Alcocks, Alcox and Allcox.  Think there is any connection?
