Hi Nipy

Thanks for the tip.

You must excuse my geographic ignorance, but I didn't realsie the pub was in Dunstable! This is my 1st rellie I've found from the area. No wonder I didn't have much luck on ebay & elsewhere.

Do you know if the pub would have been South or North high street?

Many thanks once again.

Pauly

Hi Woody

He wasn't there in 1841, he had a shop in St.Pancras.

He was John Jenks aged 57 in 1851, born Potterspury, Northampton (spelt potters perry for the 1851 census) I don't have a record for him in 1861.

Thank you.

Hi all.

My 3x Ggrandfather was InnKeeper at 27 High Street, St Paul, Bedford on the 1851 census & I was wondering what the name of the pub would have been then & if still standing, now.

Any help would be gratefully received!

Thank you in advance.

Hi all

Where would be the best place to find the Wandsworth Prison records for inmates in 1871?
I have found that a great grandfather was an inmate on the 1871 census & would like to find out as much as possible.

Thank you in advance

Pauly
