Hello.

Alfred Mitson's father was George who married Emily.  He was a carpenter. It doesn't seem as if we are from the same line!

I have got no further with the origin of the name though, sorry!

My brother in law's family were also from Kenninghall.  His grandfather was Alfred John Mitson!  If I can help at all let me know how.

Does anyone have access to the above please? I am looking for an article and photograph of my cousin, David Rothwell from Southborough and eight other people who took up the "£10 to Australia" offer.  The article was published around November/December, 1969.

May 6 1783 James NICHOLLS of this parish married by Banns  to Elizabeth RATCLIFFE of this parish.  Witnessed by  William Ratlief and Elizh Rausher(?)

Hi ther, I have a copy of the Boughton Monchelsea PRs and have only found these two baptisms:

1815 Apr 02 Mary D of William & Susanna FULLAGAR Otp (Labourer)
1817 Apr 27 Elizabeth D of William & Susanna FULLAGAR Otp (Labourer)

and these burials:

1749 Dec 1 Elizabeth FULLAGER from Chart
1795 Aug 4 Mary FULLAGER 32 Wife of Thomas
1793 Oct 27 Thomas FULLAGER 5 Son of Thomas & Mary

Are you sure that Fullager was her maiden name, or that she married/was born in Boughton Monchelsea?

 :-\  I HAVE A 6 TIMES GREAT GRANDFATHER SUPPOSEDLY BORN IN 1697 IN BOUGHTON MONCHELSEA.  DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH REGISTRATION DISTRICT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN IN, PLEASE?

Does anyone have a "HARRYMAN/HEREMAN/HARRIMAN " family bible, please?  My family came from Kent, mostly Boughton Monchelsea/Mereworth.

If anyone has one I would love to know what information is in it!

I have Fordwich PRs - but only for 1683 to 1837!  I know this doesn“t help with this enquiry, but if you need another one pre 1837, let me know - there are a few Amos surnames in the PRs.
