Mary Elizabeth McNeill was our great-grandmother's sister. Great-grandmother was Rachel McNeill, who married William Taggart. She was born in 1863 and died in 1913.

I also have a Taggart/Aicken (Aiken) connection. Our grandfather's sister Sarah Taggart married Andrew Aiken at Buckna Presbyterian Church. Sarah was born to William Taggart and Rachel McNeill in 1906 and she died 23 Jan 1990. They had one child that we know of--William. The last I knew William lived at Carnlough, Antrim, and had four children. Sarah's brother Robert was born in 1896 at Glenrarm, Larne.

We have other Aikens in the family tree as well. Sara Aiken married Robert Martin (who later remarried my mother-in-law, he a widower and she a widow). Thomas Aiken married Nellie McClelland. Both of these families are in the US.
