Lancashire / Re: felix bourne-death

Thanks for looking - i have been and purchased credits to look at 1911c and believe this must be the correct Felix Bourne, as i had been unable to find anyone else who matched. Felix's wife Zepherina's Father was from Barbados also, so this would match things up a bit. Today i have been looking for the graves of Zepherina and Felix - Zepherina was buried in the same grave as someone else entirely and her records show she was a widow when buried so i would assume that Felix must have died abroad or at sea.
Is there any way of finding this out does anyone know?

Trying to find the death of Felix Bourne b.1887 according to marriage cert - he married Zepherina cumberbatch in Barrow in 1913. He was a mariner merchant service when he married and his father was James a cabinet maker.

So far i believe they were both from the wigton area(which covers a wide area, lots of hamlets and villages). Havnt really gone any further back at the moment as the mans surname is quite a common one up here. They were both young when they got married the groom being 21 and the bride was 23. I will try to find out a bit more this week. The later family had a bit of a habit of naming their children one name and then changing them same names to something else - so that has been interesting in trying to find people. :o

I put a few different spellings of the name in searches and i found it is popular in Chinese names(guan). Although i am kind of leaning towards the name meaning something else as it was wrote by someone other than that person. A few show up in America too(male names).
I will keep trawling through the records thanks again for all your help :)

I have been looking through some records from the area to see if it could be similar to something else - needless to say i havnt been able to come up with anything.
I will have a look at the one you have come up with in Uttoxeter.
As far as i am aware they are not related but with it being such an usual name i just had to try and find out what i could about them.
Thanks for your help ;)

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately even doing exactly as you said i am unable to open up the tree once it as been saved to my documents as it says the file is too large to open by my service provider is there any other way of opening it?
Also i purchased family tree maker 2009 platinum ed. to gather all the info on from ancestry and i have been unable to load this to my comp either. Could the reason for this be that too many photos etc are stored on my comp so using up space that this programme needs? Would a deluxe version of this programme have been better? It also includes a 6month ancestry subscription with it, but the way ancestry as been lately i am thinking of holding off using for a while and using it at a later date.
