World War One / Info on an Irish Family Member killed in action

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Looking for information on Patrick Joseph Byrne, was in the Royal Engineers and died in action in Belgium in 1917.  Married to Anna Maria White, born c 1876, father also Patrick Joseph (1836-1880), no info on his mother, but I am led to beleive that he was born and raised in Dublin, although its possible he was living in Scotland when he joined up.

Not actually one of mine, am searching on behalf of an elderly rellie living in Australia so any help would be gratefully appreciated.

NB.  Have tried Ancestry and Genes with no luck

Hi Apologies for the delay, but I do have details of a Dugald Yuill, married to Janet.  In the 1861 census he listed as living in Stock Street, Paisley.  I beleive it is possible that he is my husband's 2x Great Grandfather.  I have a copy of the census return if you would like to forward it to you.

Regards

Hi Nenny4,

My Baird's are originally from Lanarkshire.  Agnes Lindsay Baird, B 1870, m Thomas Paterson Black 1899.  Her parents were Agnes Lindsay and John Baird and they were from Ayrshire (Sorn I believe).

Hope this helps, let me know if you would like any more information.

Hi, I'm researching my husband family tree and above are just a few of the names in his tree back to the early 1800's.  There are also Lawrence, Hutcheson, Thomson (distant) and Lindsay.  These are all on his father's side and using Scotland's People I'm doing quite well, but any pointer's or matches would be gratefully received.  All links so far have been Glasgow, Paisley and Ayrshire (more details can be provided if needed).

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Hi I saw your post and thought I'd respond (albeit a good few years after your original post!).

I've been researching my husband's side of the family and we have an Agnes Yuill (B circa 1842, D 10/09/1906).  She was the daughter of John (Robert) Yuill and Agnes Lawrence.  John was a surgeon.  Agnes Yuill married my husband's Great-Great-Great Grandfather, William Black and they had numerous children, amongst whom was Thomas Paterson Black, he in turn had Thomas (my husband's great-grandfather).

Hopefully we might have a match somewhere along the line.

Best wishes

Georgina Black
